We have been the byword for high-quality products since 1946. Customers from a wide variety of sectors, such as farming, garden and landscape construction, and civil engineering, have been putting their trust in us for decades. The reason is simple: Thanks to our long-standing activity, not only are we aware of the possibilities and limitations of designing and manufacturing various trailer types, we are also aware of our customers' day-to-day work.
Creating innovations from the world of practice
This is what ultimately makes the difference: All our considerations and services are always based on customer requirements. The result is vehicles that prove their worth in practice and bring genuine benefit in day-to-day work. One of our most important innovations was undoubtedly the introduction, in 1983, of the conical tipper bridge for agricultural tippers. Today, the market is unthinkable without this design form. Indeed, a wide variety of great and smaller developments have accompanied the history of our company: Self-opening and self-closing tailgate, hydraulic control of the platform gates from the tractor cab or the heavy-duty dumper with a permissible overall weight of up to 30 tonnes.
Family-owned ever since we were founded
Today, Fortuna vehicle construction is a third-generation family business. Our partners in the wholesale trade and our end customers greatly appreciate this: Our word is our bond. Be it commercial platform trailers or heavy-duty dumps with up to 30 tonnes permissible overall weight, we offer the right transport trailer solution for all requirements in the sectors of, say, farming, garden and landscape construction, civil engineering and commerce. Our range of manufacturing options includes a large number of series which can also be designed and optimized for specific customers.

First-class quality results from combining long-standing experience with a strong eye for detail. Our employees, whether engineers or fitters, are right behind our products. This is also reflected in their work: Performance beyond the norm so as to deliver the highest quality is the philosophy of each individual. It therefore comes as no surprise when our products work reliably over decades despite hard, daily use. A trailer with 4.5 tonnes permissible overall weight, manufactured in 1955, has been in service the longest. The vehicle with chassis number 1004 is still being used today by a farmer in Ochtrup.
Reliability over six decades
We deliver more than 400 vehicles every year. The product range includes one-axle and multi-axle two-side and three-side tippers, dumpers and heavy-duty dumpers, tridem heavy-duty dumps, cattle trucks, low-bed trailers, as well as platform trailers and trailer tents.
Tailor-made implementation of customer requests – for optimal use
Exceptional performance is our objective, "off-the-peg" products usually being no more than the last resort for our customers. Virtually all orders also have individual requirements. Our daily task is to meet these in a way that finds an optimal solution for the particular situation. It is not uncommon for such special requests to be subsequently included in series production.
Nothing that cannot be done
For us, there is no requirement that defies implementation: Our design specialists will find a solution even for the trickiest issues. In Fortuna tandem two-side and three-side dumpers, for example, a hydraulic control system can be used to open and close the platform gates automatically from the driver's cab. From individual colouring through to complete redesigns, we can manufacture as individually as the respective customer wishes or the requirements in practical use necessitate. Our ability to do this is the result of decades of experience and, of course, great flexibility.
